Booker T Washington Elementary School Family Night STEM Activity
I ran a STEM activity at the Booker T Washington Elementary School for Family Night. I was so happy to see how excited the kids got when seeing the phenomenon of fluorescence. In addition to the fluorescent box (which you can find a description of here), I brought my periodic table which shows the different elements and my glass prism to show light dispersion. But honestly, the box took the show as the elementary school students loved being able to see their drawings shine (as well as the jolly ranchers they got to eat since some exhibit fun fluorescent properties)!
