Ernest A. Reid Fellowship in Electrical Engineering
I am very honored to receive the Ernest A. Reid Fellowship in Electrical Engineering for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am thankful to the generous donors of this award, the thoughtful selection committee, and, of course, those who have helped support me thus far in my journey.
Description
In 1983 Mrs. Nell W. Reid established the Ernest A. Reid Fellowship Award in Honor of her husband who taught in our department from 1917 to 1956. The fund was set up to encourage graduate students pursuing the PhD to consider an academic career. It is the donor's desire that "deserving...students interested in pursuing a course of study resulting in teaching of electrical engineering" be given preference.
I am fortunate to have had my partner, Daniela, and advisor, Lav, attend the ceremony, as well.
